About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Video Editor who specializes in creating and editing hero background videos for websites. The ideal candidate has experience working with videos featuring people using mobile apps, or interacting naturally in professional and lifestyle settings. You will be responsible for editing, enhancing, and mixing high-quality videos that create immersive and engaging website experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and edit hero background videos that seamlessly integrate into website designs.
• Work with footage featuring people using apps, digital tools, and engaging in real-world interactions.
• Optimize videos for smooth playback, minimal distractions, and visual appeal on web pages.
• Ensure high resolution, fast loading times, and responsive compatibility across devices.
• Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure the videos align with brand aesthetics.
• Source and edit stock footage if needed, ensuring legal compliance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in creating and editing hero background videos for websites.
• Strong skills in Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
• Understanding of video optimization for web use (compression, formats, resolutions).
• Experience working with footage of people using mobile apps or digital interfaces.
• Ability to add subtle animations, transitions, and visual effects for a polished look.
• Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and aesthetics.
• Knowledge of website UI/UX principles related to background videos.
• Portfolio showcasing hero background videos with people featured in them.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in color grading, motion graphics, and sound design.
• Knowledge of CSS/HTML for video embedding and playback optimizations.
• Ability to source or direct original footage if needed.
