We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Linux System Administrator to provide support on requirement basis.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and maintaining Linux-based systems, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure. The Linux System Administrator will play a key role in supporting our organization's technology infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, implementing system enhancements, and optimizing system performance.

Responsibilities:

System Administration:

• Install, configure, and maintain centOS/AlmaLinux Linux operating systems and related software.
• Monitor system performance and ensure its stability, availability, and security.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights.

Security Management:

• Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard the organization's systems and data.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments.
• Respond to security incidents, investigate and resolve security breaches.

Backup and Recovery:

• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to protect critical data.
• Regularly test and validate backup and recovery processes.

Automation:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
• Implement configuration management tools for consistent system deployments.

Monitoring and Performance Tuning:

• Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve system issues.
• Optimize system performance and conduct performance tuning activities.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator (X years).
Experience with server virtualization technologies.

Skills:

In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (CentOS, Alma Linux) and cPanel
Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Perl).
Familiarity with security best practices and tools.
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Communication:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
