Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative and skilled Freelance WordPress UI Designer with expertise in Block WordPress themes and Full Site Editing (FSE). You will design modern, high-performing, and fully responsive WordPress themes optimised for Gutenberg. The role requires a strong understanding of UI/UX best practices, accessibility, and performance optimisation to deliver seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Design visually engaging and user-friendly UI/UX for WordPress themes.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Develop Block-based WordPress themes optimised for Full Site Editing (FSE).
• Ensure responsive, mobile-first designs that function seamlessly across devices.
• Collaborate with developers to translate designs into fully functional themes.
• Optimise performance, accessibility, and SEO for better user engagement.
• Stay updated with WordPress trends and UI/UX advancements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in WordPress UI/UX design, with a focus on Block themes.
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch for UI design.
• Deep understanding of WordPress Full Site Editing (FSE) & Gutenberg blocks.
• Strong grasp of typography, colour theory, and visual hierarchy.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and WordPress theme structures (coding skills are a plus).
• Knowledge of accessibility, speed optimisation, and SEO-friendly design.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• A strong portfolio showcasing WordPress UI/UX projects.

Preferred Skills:

✔ Experience working with WordPress theme development teams.
✔ Understanding of Wordpress UI/UX design.
✔ Knowledge of SVG graphics, animations, and micro-interactions.
✔ Basic familiarity with PHP for WordPress customisation.
