Project Overview

We need a custom WordPress theme designed and developed for our blog Psychic Beth. The theme should be visually appealing, user-friendly, responsive, and optimized for performance. The successful candidate will work closely with our in-house team to ensure the final product aligns with our vision and functionality needs.

Responsibilities

• Theme Design and Development:

  • Design a custom WordPress theme based on provided brand guidelines and design specifications.

  • Develop the theme from scratch, ensuring it is responsive, mobile-friendly, and cross-browser compatible.

• Customization and Functionality:

  • Incorporate required features and functionalities as per project specifications.

  • Ensure the theme supports essential plugins and custom post types.

• User Experience and Interface Design:

  • Create an intuitive and engaging user interface that enhances the user experience.

  • Design page layouts, templates, and custom elements that align with the brand identity.

• Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough testing to ensure the theme is free of bugs and issues.

  • Optimize the theme for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.

• Documentation:

  • Provide comprehensive documentation for the theme, including installation instructions and user guides.

  • Offer post-delivery support for a specified period to address any issues or changes.

Requirements

• Experience and Expertise:

  • Proven experience in designing and developing custom WordPress themes.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing previous WordPress theme design projects.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.

  • In-depth knowledge of WordPress core functions, hooks, and filters.

  • Experience with responsive design principles and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap).

• Design Skills:

  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or equivalent tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch).

  • Strong aesthetic sense and attention to detail.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a remote team.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

  • Effective time management skills to meet project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
